When we dreamed up Quilt Kits & Cuts, we knew from the very beginning that we wanted it to be more than just a fabric shop.

Yes, fabric is the heart of what we do — but what really excites us is what happens when people gather around it. The conversations, the learning, the creativity, and the friendships that grow stitch by stitch.

As our shop continues to grow, we’ve been exploring ways to make Quilt Kits & Cuts a place where quilters and sewists of all experience levels feel welcome, supported, and inspired.

Ideas We’re Exploring

We’re currently dreaming up and planning a variety of ways to bring our community together, including:

  • Beginner-friendly quilting and sewing education

  • Skill-building workshops and seasonal projects

  • Small-group classes and one-on-one learning opportunities

  • Kid and youth-focused stitch days

  • Occasional embroidery and appliqué workshops

  • Fun in-store and community events that celebrate creativity

These ideas are still in the planning phase, and we’re taking our time to make sure anything we offer is thoughtful, well-organized, and genuinely helpful.

More Than a Shop

Our goal has always been to create a space that feels encouraging and approachable — whether you’re cutting into your very first piece of fabric or finishing your hundredth quilt.

We also love the idea of hosting occasional special events, shop celebrations, and creative gatherings where customers can meet one another, share ideas, and enjoy a relaxed day of stitching together. (Snacks may or may not be involved.)

What’s Next

We’ll only announce classes, workshops, or events once dates and registration details are confirmed. When something is ready, it will be shared here on the blog and in the shop.

Thank you for being part of our story and for supporting this little shop that means so much to us. Watching our community grow has been one of the most rewarding parts of this journey, and we’re excited to see where it leads.

With gratitude,
Melonie & Carroll
